Freshman AJ Foster (Midland HS-Varna) won both of his individual matches Wednesday September 11th @ Fyre Lake National Golf Course in Sherrard. The Eagles won the morning semifinal contest defeating the Carl Sandburg Chargers 4-2. The evening Championship contest saw the Black Hawk Braves edge the Eagles by the same 4-2 score. IVCC Mens Golf Coach Sean Kennedy said, " It was encouraging to see the Eagles respond well after a tough last outing at Madison. The Match Play format is always exciting and leads to a bunch of what ifs..... Black Hawk has been the class of our region for quite a while, I am glad to see our guys rice to the occasion and challenge Black Hawk competitively. Hopefully, this momentum carries forward to next weeks IVCC Invitational."
