Illinois Valley Community College's Men's Golf Team will host an open house at the Deer Park Golf Club on January 25 to raise money to travel to Southern Missouri for a pre-season warmup competition. 

The event starts at 7 p.m. and will include 50/50 raffles, drinks and appetizers, and virtual-golf contests. 

"This is our first fundraiser for our program, but it has been well received and we are expecting a great night," said Coach Nate Rodriguez. IVCC supporters, the Illinois Valley golf community and IVCC golf alumni are invited to attend. 

The Missouri trip will give the team a chance to be competitive before the golfers begin regional play, Rodriguez said.
