IVCC MEN'S GOLF NOTCHES ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP

IVCC took 2 teams (purple and grey) to the Kishwaukee Invite and claimed its 2nd title of the seaon.  The Purple team, led by both Drake Stoudt and Jon Cooper, who each shot 71 (-1), earned the invite victory.  These two both finished T-3 individually. Also scoring was Jake Delaney with a 73 (5th individually) and Carter Fenza, who bounced back to form with a 76 (T-9 individually).  The Purple team's score of 291 was good enough to beat Blackhawk by 7 shots. The Grey team was led by Grant Plym who shot a 81 and the team finished 7th out of the 9 teams.  Coach Guilfoyle said, "This was a big win for us. This event was mostly made up of Arrowhead Conference teams, and we have been on the losing end of a solid Blackhawk squad this half of the season.  So we all wanted to take this win and take that momentum into the 54 hole Arrowhead Conference Tournament in a few weeks. I would love to finish the fall with a 3rd title and I know the team would too."
